HYANNIS, MA — A local hub for artists is set to host its latest pop-up market in early September.

Pop Up Street Cape Cod is set to host a Global Flavors Market next week after getting approval from the town’s Licensing Authority at its Aug. 28 meeting for a special one-day entertainment license.

Pop Up Street was described at the meeting as a cultural hub for artists and artisans to connect with the community through classes, workshops and events like the Global Flavors Market.

“As we all know it’s so difficult to afford rent on the Cape as a business owner, so us, as artists, are just trying to do something for artists,” said CEO Zavia Empey.

The September market is set to feature vendors Franky and J, Aundria’s Kitchen, Mother Nature Supplies, Dachie and Dri Rossi Jewelry. The event, scheduled for Sept. 6 from 4 to 8 p.m., will take place next door to Pop Up in the parking lot of Mariner Cafe, 282 Main St., in Hyannis.
