CONCORD, NH — A quick kudos to the Bean & Bakery on Pleasant Street, formerly White Mountain, for their coffee cup sleeves promoting Crisis Center of Central New Hampshire’s “Walk a Mile in their Shoes” event.

It was literally a “made you look” moment as I was enjoying afternoon tea before a meeting earlier this week. This year’s event, which benefits the center, will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 2.

It is the 10th anniversary of the event. The org hopes to raise $100,000.

So far, about $37,000 has been raised.

The org said, “This year, our theme is Eras, a nod to Taylor Swift’s iconic Eras tour and an opportunity to celebrate decades of history in our community. Whether Eras means rocking out to your favorite Taylor Swift song or rocking your best 70s, 80s, or 90s attire, we can’t wait to walk with you.”
