FAIRFIELD, CT — A suspect has been arrested on a warrant in connection with a fraudulent check case in Fairfield, Patch has learned.

Jaquan Rosado, 31, was taken into custody by Norwalk police on Monday, and was turned over to Fairfield authorities.

Rosado was charged with third-degree larceny, a felony, in connection with the incident, which occurred in late December 2023.

Details of the case were not immediately available, but Fairfield Police Sgt. Michael Stahl told Patch that Rosado was “accused [of] fraudulently cashing a check which was possibly obtained from a USPS collection box.”

The amount of the check was not disclosed, but the charge of third-degree larceny is for an amount in excess of $2,000.

Rosado is currently free on a promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Sept. 4.
