NORWALK, CT — Milk N Cookies, an upscale cookie and cereal shop, plans to open a new location in South Norwalk this summer.

The cookie cafe and cereal bar announced Monday on their Instagram page the new store will open at 10 South Main Street, just down the street from the Residence Inn hotel.

“Milk N Cookies about to bring some [fire] vibes this summer to Norwalk,” the post reads. “Get ready SoNo.”

Signs indicating the store was “coming soon” filled the windows and doors of the storefront Wednesday afternoon. Attempts to contact Milk N Cookies were not immediately returned.

The Norwalk store will mark the second Milk N Cookies location in Connecticut. The chain currently operates a location on Bedford Street in Stamford, as well as two other stores in Mamaroneck, N.Y., and Wayne, N.J.

According to their website, Milk N Cookies offers premium baked cookies, as well as a full cereal bar. Customers are invited to infuse their favorite cereal into ice creams and milkshakes or simply enjoy a bowl of cereal, in addition to a wide variety of cookie flavors.

The announcement comes weeks after Crumbl Cookies, a popular chain that serves up warm, freshly made cookies in an eye-catching pink package, announced plans to open its first Norwalk location April 7 on Connecticut Avenue.

Greater Norwalk Chamber President Brian Griffin said it was interesting multiple boutique premium cookie establishments were arriving in Norwalk this year.

“Like many food categories, consumers are looking for something special and often decadent,” Griffin said in an email to Patch. “I also think it says something about the growing population of young people in Norwalk; not to imply that older folks don’t appreciate a good stuffed cookie.”
