FAIRFIELD, CT — Wine & Cheese Day Spa, a new spa that will serve wine and non-alcoholic beverages to customers, is slated to open in downtown Fairfield this summer, according to Southport-based commercial real estate firm Angel Commercial, LLC.

The new spa is leasing 2,700 square feet in the Mercurio Building at 1330 Post Road, which is across the street from the Fairfield Library, and next to The Chelsea Restaurant.

“It’s a terrific location in downtown Fairfield,” Mark Barnhart, Fairfield’s Director of Community and Economic Development, told Patch. “I’m sure they will do well there.”

Wine & Cheese Day Spa will offer wine (or non-alcoholic beverages) and cheese to customers who receive a spa service. The exact opening date has not been disclosed.

“The new tenants are entrepreneurs dedicated to creating a unique spa experience,” said Angel Commercial Vice President Eva Kornreich, who is representing both parties in the lease transaction.

She added, “The Wine & Cheese Day Spa, a welcome addition to vibrant downtown Fairfield, is certain to be a popular destination.”

The site is surrounded by shops and restaurants, and is close to Fairfield Theater Company, Sacred Heart University Community Theater, and the downtown Fairfield train station.
