Rishabh Pant who was in a very bad accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway on December 30, has come out with an update on his recovery, as per TOI.
“I am humbled and grateful for all the support and good wishes. I am glad to let you know that my surgery was a success. The road to recovery has begun and I am ready for the challenges ahead. Thank you to the @BCCI, @JayShah & government authorities for their incredible support,” he tweeted.
“From the bottom of my heart, I also would like to thank all my fans, teammates, doctors and the physios for your kind words and encouragement. Looking forward to see you all on the field,” he added.
The keeper-batter suffered multiple injuries when his car hit a road divider.
Pant was first admitted to Saksham Hospital Multispecialty and Trauma Centre and then to Max Hospital, Dehradun.

He was heading home to Roorkee from New Delhi and was alone in the car.
On January 4, the BCCI said Pant would be shifted from Dehradun to Mumbai via an air ambulance for surgery and further treatment.

Pant is expected to be out of action for some time.
The IPL is already going to be missed and the World Cup is also in doubt.
