Ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, former Brazil striker Ronaldo Nazário acknowledges that the pressure of lifting the World Cup will be on Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar.

As quoted by L’Équipe, Ronaldo discussed the possibility of Brazil winning the World Cup in Qatar. Although the majority of the onus will be on Neymar’s shoulders, the team, according to the footballing icon, is now well-equipped in every department than before. He said:

“I think the biggest pressure will be on Neymar anyway. Of course, the team is much more balanced than in previous World Cups. Ney will have the help of great players, but he is living a great time at the moment.”

Since the start of the 2022/23 season, Neymar’s performances have embodied a run of consistency. Having made 15 appearances in all competitions this campaign for the Parisien club, the 30-year-old has amassed 11 goals and nine assists. It appears as if the Brazilian has rediscovered his form at the right time, just before the World Cup.
