PLUM, PA — Grove City-based Wendell August Forge is crafting a “Plum Proud” ornament. The forge plan to donate part of the sales proceeds to people affected by the Aug. 12 Rustic Ridge explosion in which six people died and more than a dozen other homes suffered various levels of damage.

“While the community is shaken, today it is stronger than ever thanks to the generous support of the region,” a message on the forge’s website stated. “Wendell August Forge is proud to handcraft this ornament to celebrate the Plum Community, to honor those who were lost and help those in the Rustic Ridge area that need it the most.”

Fifty percent of the ornament sales will be donated to The Rustic Ridge Family Fund.
