PLAINFIELD, IL — It might be the thick of winter, but there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Come summer, locals will be able to dine at the new Cooper’s Hawk in Plainfield.

Construction is well underway on the restaurant and winery at The Boulevard Place, a development anchored by Costco off Route 30 and near Interstate 55. So far, the frame of the building is up, and so are signs saying Cooper’s Hawk is “coming soon.”

Mayor John Argoudelis told Patch the restaurant looks to be slated to open by early summer.

The mayor first confirmed in March that Cooper’s Hawk was eyeing a lot in Plainfield. Construction started in the fall.

“They’re working very quickly,” he said. “…With the milder weather we’ve had, it’s been easier for them to keep going with things.”
