TRUMBULL, CT — CEC Entertainment, the parent company of Chuck E. Cheese, recently opened a new innovative arcade at the Trumbull Mall that offers amusement for kids and young adults of all ages.

Fun Spot Arcade opened Friday on the mall’s lower level, according to Director of Economic and Community Development Rina Bakalar.

The 3,300-square-foot arcade offers customers “a new concept for gaming and entertainment experiences” designed to appeal to kids, teens and young adults, Bakalar said.

“Certainly any new tenant that brings a fun concept for kids and families is a positive for the mall as we work to reinvent the area over time,” Bakalar said to Patch. “Experience-type businesses will be key to bringing folks to the area.”

In a statement sent to Patch, CEC Entertainment CEO David McKillips said Fun Spot Arcade marks a unique direction for the company.

“It’s an exciting opportunity to expand beyond games for kids and offer experiences that appeal to a broader audience, including teens and young adults,” McKillips said. “At Fun Spot at the Trumball Mall, we’re bringing the newest games and the freshest experiences to create a vibrant atmosphere for all ages. We had a great opening last weekend, and we are excited to welcome more guests in Connecticut, so come check it out!”

The new arcade features “a thrilling mix of the latest video games, classic favorites and interactive experiences” designed to keep customers coming back for more, according to a description on the mall’s website.

“With state-of-the-art technology and a vibrant atmosphere, Fun Spot Arcade is the perfect place to challenge your friends, beat high scores and unlock new adventures. It’s not just an arcade—it’s where fun meets excitement, and every visit is an unforgettable experience,” the description reads.

The opening comes just on the heels of Sana’s Beauty Esthetics, a health and beauty studio that held its grand opening at the mall last month.

In addition to Fun Spot and Sana’s, two new tenants are anticipated to open soon at the mall.

Black Pearl Bubble Tea, a chain with locations in Connecticut and New York, is scheduled to open across from Sana’s soon, according to Bakalar. Lottery and Convenience is also planned to open soon in the former 7-11 space at the mall.
