MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ – ‘American Horror Stories’ will begin filming in South River this month, Mayor Peter Guindi said.
Filming is expected to begin Feb. 8, and the borough will be the backdrop for one episode. The spin-off of the hit anthology series will be filming at the now-shuttered PNC bank.
“All started when I had the opportunity to meet the NJ Film Commissioner David Schoner and I told him about the borough and age of areas in town. He took several pictures of the town and we got lucky,” Guindi told Patch.

“The directors of the film fell in love with one of the locations (old PNC Bank) and they started to prepare for the shooting.”
Many towns across New Jersey have passed ordinances that welcome crews to film in the township. The economic benefits are numerous as film crews utilize local resources like hotels, restaurants, cleaners etc.
