LACEY, NJ — Racial slurs and swastikas were found graffitied throughout the skatepark at Gille Park in Lacey on Saturday, according to a resident.

A video of the park shared with Patch showed graffiti in various areas including on a table and on a half pipe.

Nicholas Christian, who recorded the video, said he shared it with Patch to raise awareness and so that anyone with young children wouldn’t go there until the graffiti was removed.

“I saw the one on the table first then as I went around I couldn’t believe it,” he said.

The video shows that at least two swastikas and two instances of a racial slur in various locations of the skatepark.

Both police and Public Works have been made aware, the Lacey Recreation Department told Patch, and the park will be cleaned up ASAP.

The person responsible for the graffiti has not been identified.
