WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, NJ — A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Monday night after his SUV hit a pole in Winslow Township, authorities said. Police identified the decedent as John N. Grasmick, 57, of Atco.

The incident occurred at 8:51 p.m. on Williamstown and Lakedale Roads. Preliminary investigation revealed that the driver was traveling east on Williamstown Road when his Ford SUV drifted into the westbound lane, police said. The vehicle went off the roadway and hit a steel utility pole, according to authorities.

Grasmick was unconscious at the scene. Officials took him to Jefferson Washington Township Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
