PROSPECT LEFFERTS GARDENS, NY — A school bus jumped the curb and nearly avoided smashing into a Brooklyn salon Friday morning, according NYPD and locals.

The school bus hit the front gate of Yeimmy Salon in Prospect Lefferts Gardens about 4 a.m. Friday morning after a collision with a sedan, police said.

No kids were in the bus.

Police said there was no structural damage to the salon, on Rogers and Clarkson avenues, but videos and photos posted to social media show it was a close call.

A neighbor told Patch the building looks like it’s “sagging and collapsing.”

“Another example of rushing in the morning, you see,” one man said in a video of the crash posted to Twitter Friday morning. “Bus went directly into the building — boy, oh my god.”

Neither driver was injured or arrested, and both stayed on the scene to talk to cops, the NYPD said.

Local Max Finkel didn’t see the crash itself but saw the building afterward, he told Patch.

“I’m unfortunately not so surprised that it happened,” Finkel said. “The traffic safety situation in the neighborhood is awful.”
