As announced via a communiqué from Paris Saint-Germain, Italian midfielder Marco Verratti will miss out on the Parisian’s Ligue 1 clash with Angers on Wednesday. He reportedly felt a pain in his right quadriceps during training on Tuesday morning and had to leave from the session. Medical exams are set to be carried out “within 24 hours”.
Renato Sanches reportedly also returned to training with the rest of squad as per L’Équipe, but also won’t feature in the squad against Angers- yet he should be able to participate this weekend against Rennes. Wing-back Nuno Mendes also trained with the rest of the team, however it is not confirmed whether the Portuguese defender will feature this Wednesday.

Christophe Galtier is hoping to use the Ligue 1 clash on Wednesday as an opportunity to bounce back from a disappointing defeat away to Lens (3-1) in their previous fixture, during which manager said he “did not recognise” his team in what was a flat performance against a dynamic Franck Haise side.
